NewsThe following has been prepared to answer some of the most frequently asked questions posed by people attending a shotgun course.
If you have any further queries, please contact the number below. We hope you will find the course both interesting and enjoyable.

1. Hearing & eye protection is mandatory for your own health, and safety reasons.
2. The consumption of alcohol during a course is strictly forbidden. Anyone found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to cease shooting.
3. The use of felt wad cartridges is requested. Typical course requirements: 200 birdshot & 40 SG buckshot. [Quantities are approximate.] Please note ammo of all types is available on site, also a Section 2 pump-action if you do not have your own gun.
4. Guns are to be carried muzzle DOWN at all times, and certainly never horizontal. It is recommended that a gun slip is used if available.
5. Because of the nature of the course, students are advised to choose sensible clothing. The course is almost entirely outdoors and at certain times of the year adequate warm clothing will avoid spoiling the enjoyment of being too cold. Waterproof jackets and trousers are a good idea. Boots if available are better than trainers, although trainers are acceptable. Feet and footwear may get wet. Wellington boots will avoid this, but may be a small handicap for other parts of the course. Light cotton trousers are better than denim. Plain army greens are acceptable, but NO camo-style clothing please.
6. Clothes and boots may get muddy on the course, therefore 1 or 2 binbags are useful for taking clothing home in.
7. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available on site – as are toilet facilities.
8. Spare cartridge belts will be available for your use, but bring your own if possible. Elasticated loops or breakout plastic clip types are best.
9. The course can be completed with a Section 2 restricted capacity pump or semi-auto shotgun [3 shot limit].
10. A bag of some sorts to carry everything in is a must and ideally a rucksack certainly makes life easier.
11. The course cost is £65 per person. A deposit of £25 per person in advance is appreciated.
